Strapping bands secure bundles and boxes in transport and storage,

They are using manual strapping tools or machines to secure the items in a wide variety of goods in cartons or pallet.  Steel strapping secures heavy loads or loads with irregular or rough edges, such as cement blocks, lumber, and machinery. Polyester strapping secures lumber, heavy pallets, and other medium-to-heavy loads. Polypropylene strapping (sometimes called poly strapping) is a lightweight strap used in light-duty applications such as bundling newspapers, sealing and bundling cartons, and securing small loads. Poly cord strapping is made of polyester and has embedded cords to provide more strength and tear resistance than standard polyester strapping. It is similar in strength to steel strapping and can be used indoors and outdoors to secure lumber, bricks and stone, metal, and other heavy loads.

Polyester strapping coils secure lumber, heavy pallets, and other medium-to-large loads for storage and shipment. Polyester construction is noncorrosive so it will not damage surfaces. It is a safer alternative to steel and is more rigid and stretches less than polypropylene strapping, allowing it to retain tension over time. Polyester strapping is stronger than polypropylene strapping, but has less overall strength than stainless steel strapping. Apply strapping using manually-operated strapping tools or a strapping machine.

The embossed surface makes the strapping flexible so it's easier to bend around edges and irregular shapes. These strapping bands are applied using strapping tools.
